This tower fan is all of that and more. It has everything that I need in a fan: strong airflow, long reach, remote controlled, quiet, has cold air, and has cool features. It's what you can expect in a fan, but Dreo does it well and improves upon what your expectations are. You will not go wrong with this fan, I'm telling you. It makes my room and sleep that much more cozy.
I really like this fan! several settings, nice and quiet, and allows you to turn the blue light display off via remote! Also very easy to put together!
I love this fan!! I purchased this to replace an older fan I had. This is more powerful, especially at the higher setting. All lights turn off once the fan is set, so there's nothing to break the dark when you're trying to get to sleep, I love this feature. I normally leave it in normal setting for my taste, but it will also oscillate, and in addition it has a setting that will mimic the wind. The fan isn't as wide as my old fan and I like the fact it's black. Looks great in comparison to the old one. The remote is fine, but not a highlight to me as my fan is close to my bed.
This is my second Dreo fan. I love its smaller footprint and contemporary look. It's whisper quiet, which I love for night time use. ONE problem though - My other fan has a temperature gauge built in the LED readout and to my surprise, this one doesn't. I really miss that feature!
My wife likes a light breeze while sleeping. I tolerate air conditioning when needed, but I don't particularly want a constant breeze on me all night. We had been using a portable evaporative cooler unit just as a fan, but it needed to be positioned precisely so the breeze didn't bother me. However, lately the fan had been getting noisier, so I was looking for a tower fan to replace it, with smaller size and quieter action being the important factors. After reading reviews on a large number of choices, I settled on this Dreo unit.
I looked at many more expensive units, some with quieter dB figures, some with more efficient DC motors. But even products with 4.5 and 4.6 ratings still had negative reviews that were concerning, and too many customers were not overly impressed with the actual noise level. So it didn't appear the extra cost was worth it. I don't know how these manufacturers calculate their dB ratings, but I checked the levels of fan speed from a 8-foot distance. With some ambient noise already present, level 1 was 1-2 dB higher, I almost couldn't hear it at all. That said, it was only delivering a tiny breeze. Level 2 was 3 dB higher than level 1, and that is probably the level we will be using during nights. Level 3 was 10 dB louder than level 2 and probably more like a "low" setting on a non-tower fan. In addition to the quiet operation, the somewhat narrow band of wind typical of a tower fan made it easy to direct it to benefit my wife without bothering me. Of course, we won't be using the oscillating function for our purposes.
With the way we use the fan, we don't need a huge amount of air pushed, so the tower design is perfect. However, if someone is looking for a powerful wind to cool a medium-to-large room, this probably isn't a good choice for them.
My only complaints echo what some others have said - the contrast of the buttons on the remote, and especially on the fan's control panel, is terrible. A room needs to be fairly brightly lit to use the control panel buttons, and while the remote is OK to use in a lower light level, it is useless in the dark. The control panel buttons should be backlit and the panel itself would be much better if it was tilted up toward the person operating it. The buttons on the remote should be higher contrast - white on black - and ideally should be backlit also.
Works great. The remote is helpful but I don’t typically use it. It is not quite but that is not why I bought it. I have a dog that needs white noise to reduce her anxiety, it does the job. I don’t use it to cool a room but when it is on the highest setting it does cover a large area.
I love this fan! It's perfect for the bedroom. Super quiet but can create strong airflow. The remote is so nice to have for adjusting once you're comfortable in bed. It was super easy to set up.
I bought this because it was advertised as very quiet and good for bedrooms. but I found it just as noisy as any other tower fan. Basically the slower it goes the quiter it is, but then you can't feel the air moving through out the room. That being said, it works as intended and puts out a great stream of air even at the mid range settings. And it's not like the noise is keeping me awake at night
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s not crazy powerful or anything, but it keeps the room nice and cool and isn’t too loud. Easy to set up, looks fine, works great — nothing to complain about.
If you’re looking for a good quality fan that feels like an air conditioning you are in the right spot. My first night of using this fan, I froze to death. It feels so good to be able to sleep with a good quality fan. This is a must have.
