This little heater does work very efficiently and is a great alternative to my almost $400 per 5 wk LP gas bill. I Had an issue with one of the units and their Customer service was pleasant and responded in a timely manner. Problem was solved.
I needed another heater to help keep my living room warm. This did the job excellent. Including my kitchen and laundry room. This heater and another the same size kept it comfortable all winter. Its a pretty large area my living room is 16x24, my kitchen is 12 x14 and my laundry room is 6x12. The 2 heated all of that adequately. Its a nice heater
Its well made , rolls with ease to wherever you want to put it. It has a safety switch that kicks it off if it gets turned over. As far as noise, very quite, you might hear a click ever once as it shuts off. in awhile
I built a room for my Drumset. It’s a 13’x9’ that I did insulate. Over the winter (Oklahoma) I would let this run for about 20-30 minutes before I practiced. The room would be very cozy. At first I turned it up to 85 but it would make the room way too hot for me. I will say that others reported a smell, maybe a “hot” smell as the coating heats up for the first time. I had set it outside my shop, on pavement, and let it run for about an hour to do a “burn in”. I’ve not experienced any smells. I would recommend this for small to medium rooms.
It looks like I got a used unit.
1. The battery was already mounted in the remote but not protected by plastic so it was dead. Remote worked after I put in a fresh battery.
2. Screws were loose outside their plastic bag.
3. The power cord was only loosely tied, not in the usual factory rightly done manner.
4. The foam packing at the opening end was broken.
5. The box opening end had a lot of extra plastic tape on it, much more sealing than was usual.
Other than the above, the unit seemed to work as advertised. Note that it was hard to see the LED function on the unit under bright lights. One need the remote to fully access all the functionality of the unit.
I love this space heater. I previously bought the Dr. Heater, an infrared heater, which works great but I wanted one without a fan. After doing some research I bought this. It works great. I followed suggestions / instructions to run it on the highest setting in a well ventilated room for a few hours when you first get it. You definitely want to do that so it can burn off any smells that occur in manufacturing. After doing that I found that if I did run on the highest setting again I initially might smell "that smell" a tiny bit but that went away. I use it in an approximately 350 square foot room and rarely run it on the highest setting (H3). I typically get it to the temperature I want then put it on Eco mode so it can hold the temp without constantly using electricity and only do so when the temp drops. So I found it uses less electricity than the fan-based heaters. On Eco mode you don't feel a lot of heat emanating from it but it really is putting off heat in the room, and not a drying heat like with the heaters with fans. Last, it doesn't get too hot on the fins, which is great because I have two cats. I feel safer with this type of heater especially around my pets. Highly recommend.
seems like a great product except i bought it "like new" but it was poorly packaged and arrived dented all over to an almost comical degree. i don't even blame the workers, bezos doesn't care, so why should they?
anyway, real quiet, light, doesn't glow at night, easy to move around, controls are intuitive. i decided not to keep it because it looked like origami and i was concerned the oil would leak where it's dented but also i realized it'll burn my kid if he touches it.
Mine seemed to be defective because the “new” smell never went away, and sometimes I could hear a dripping or gurgling sound from the oil. I sent an email to the Dreo customer service (printed in the user manual), and someone replied within 24 hours. They sent a prepaid shipping label to return the unit and promptly provided a refund. Quick and efficient service.
I love this heater. Temperature numbers large enough to be readable from a distance, and can be dimmed when desired (as can the sound of the beeps). Remote works well.
Outstanding customer service. My original heater developed a shrieking noise, and within a week of notification, Customer Service had a replacement to my home. Clear and frequent communication throughout the process. Thank you, Tracey.
I use it in my outdoor “fish shed” in the winter, where I keep aquariums for breeding fish. Works great and it’s a good quality for the price. Looks really sleek and like that you can set a temperature and have it turn off automatically when that temp is reached.
This has been a great addition for us. We had a cold spot in our studio apartment when it gets below freezing. This keeps that area warm and helps to keep our split unit from running so much. It’s also easy to use. And I like that it has a thermostat.
The heater is amazing-quiet and warm so fast! It has a temperature/thermostat readout and a remote control! I’ve had other brands and I can assure you that this company has cornered the market!!
I really like my new oil-filled radiator heater! It's warm, good looking in my room, and quiet (although I wouldn't mind the occasional crackling sound), I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems to be a good quality product!
After testing this heater out in a few places, I found plugging it in in my hallway at night to heat that area and my bedroom before bed works best, since it was producing enough heat to heat my living room area. And my house is only 720 square feet. Thankfully I have a newer gas fireplace for heating the main space.
arrived quickly, works great! while the lowest setting doesn’t seem to do much, the medium heat level keeps our bedroom (with several drafty windows) plenty warm on below-freezing nights.
